Blackburn
Our home base. Blackburn’s housing stock is dominated by Victorian and Edwardian terraces built for the town’s mill workers, which means most jobs here involve working around shared walls, narrow access, and older brickwork — exactly the kind of renovation and extension work we’ve done for over 30 years.
Darwen
Just south of Blackburn, Darwen shares a similar terraced housing stock but with more properties built up the hillside toward the moor edge. Sloping plots change how an extension or loft conversion is approached, and it’s an area we take on work in regularly.
Accrington
East in the Hyndburn borough, Accrington is famous for its engineering brick — the same NORI brick used in the foundations of the Empire State Building. Matching brickwork on an extension or repair here often means sourcing or matching that distinctive local material.
The Preston corridor
The villages and market towns along the route toward Preston — Mellor, Samlesbury, Wilpshire and similar — tend to have more detached and semi-rural properties than the town centres, which suits larger extension and new-build projects as well as garden rooms and outbuildings.
